World Ballet Crown, Australia 2026 is a National Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance Competition, beginning with a Video Audition, progressing to LIVE Auditions (State Finals) which leads to the National Finals held at The Concourse Theatre, Sydney, NSW. We invite all non-professional dancers aged between 8-19 years to register for the Stage 1, Video Audition.

Video Auditions
(Preliminary Round)
Dancers begin their journey by submitting an online application including a short video submission, demonstrating the Dancer’s skill in a Classical Ballet Solo of their choice – own original choreography or classical repertoire variation solo (maximum 3 minutes). Every application is reviewed by our expert Judging Panel, giving each Dancer the chance to be recognised and invited to their State Final.

LIVE Auditions
(State Finals)
Held over 2 days in each of Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth, the State Finals offer dancers the chance to take part in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance LIVE Auditions, led and adjudicated by respected State Dance Industry Professionals. From here, selected State Finalists advance to the National Finals in Sydney.

National Finals &
Grand Final Gala
Across five days, our National Finalists take part in intensive Masterclasses, “Corp de Crown” (Group Dance) Rehearsals, studio Solo Performance & Coaching and Workshops, leading to the Semi Finals and Grand Final Solo Competition Events on stage. The Grand Final Gala also features “Corp de Crown” Performances, that highlight the spirit of collaboration and achievement.
